Contribution of the European Sectoral Social Partners in the Extractive Industries to the Quality Jobs Roadmap
The European Sectoral Social Partners in the Extractive Industries welcome the European Commission’s initiative to develop a Quality Jobs Roadmap and have submitted a joint response to support this process. Their contribution is grounded in a jointly developed and adopted position on quality jobs from September 2024, which outlines a shared understanding and commitment to quality employment across the extractive sector. The partners stress the importance of acknowledging sectoral dimensions in the design of future labour policies and express their readiness to remain actively involved in the Roadmap’s development. The statement is submitted on behalf of IndustriAll Europe, UEPG, APEP, Euracoal, Euromines, and IMA-Europe. Additionally, industriAll Europe will provide a broader trade union response in parallel.
