KPC-Europe
European Kaolin and Plastic Clays Association
In 2006, after the merge between the European Kaolin Association and EuroArgilla, the European kaolin and plastic clays producers established a new and larger representation at the EU level through KPC-Europe.
KPC-Europe is a non-profit association whose members cooperate on scientific and legislative issues of common interest related to kaolin and plastics clays. Key aspects are those related to the environment, economic and social conditions, notably concerning health and safety, the improvement and standardisation of labour and occupational health conditions.
Membership in KPC-Europe is open to any company producing: kaolin and plastic calys in Europe. As a member of IMA-Europe, the members benefit from a broad representation and a strong voice at the EU level and synergy of issues common to the industrial minerals sector.

Kaolin
Kaolin or “China Clay” is a white, soft, plastic clay mainly composed of fine-grained plate-like particles. More information on Kaolin
Plastic Clays
Plastic clay is an extremely rare mineral found in very few places around the world. The wide variation both in mineral composition and in the size of the clay particles results in different characteristics for individual clay seams within a deposit. Internationally, deposits of high-quality plastic clay are much rarer than those of kaolin. The best deposits currently known and exploited commercially are found in South West England, the Westerwald area of Germany, several basins in France, eastern Ukraine around Donetsk and southern parts of the USA.
